Dr. Propaganda’s Ramblings: CGI Movie Trends

CGI in Movies is like the Auto-tune button in Hip-hop music, it’s cheating! With the looming craze of movies such as Avatar, Where The Wild Things Are, and The Wolfman it is inevitable to think that a movie made with CGI (Computer-generated Imagery) today will succeed no matter the plotline. The recent commercials for Alice in Wonderland, Clash of the Titans and others like them are putting a blight on the movie industry.

Now I want to see Alice in Wonderland as much as the next guy, but the fact that film makers have to surrender their creativity is tragic. Maybe they feel as if they’re creating a world unimaginable even in a dream, but they stick with the exact same storyline every crappy movie has ever told. Avatar is every “Cowboys and Indians” movie simply told on a much grander scale, with cool shit to look at.

Popcorn flicks such as these always leave the audience with a warm fuzzy feeling inside after being jerked around for a few hours. Start off with a drastic conflict, begin to resolve said conflict when it gets even worse, then distract dumb audience with love story and tie the whole shit-show together with an epic battle towards the end. Hero bangs heroine, roll credits, thanks for your $13.50.

This well-built, quick-witted super human has no choice but to hide behind the pseudonym Dr. Propaganda. His international importance and influence on foreign affairs would not allow his true identity to be revealed. Only his words can depict his true personality, which are awesome. The Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in The World" is based on his exploits.
