Furthur, founded in 2009 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, is the latest reincarnation of The Dead. The band’s lineup also includes John Kadlecik of the Dark Star Orchestra on guitar, Jeff Chimenti of RatDog on keyboards, Jay Lane of RatDog on drums, and Joe Russo of the Benevento/Russo Duo on drums.
In addition to their headlining appearance at Allgood Music Festival, the jam super-group has announced additional dates as a summer tour. The tour, which consists entirely of east coast dates, is set to begin June 25th in Rochester, NY. The following month will see Furthur hop around the east coast for a number of dates before wrapping up the tour July 10th in Philadelphia, PA.
