The critically acclaimed and down-right hilarious HBO comedy Flight of the Conchords, by the New Zealander duo of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement, has officially come to an end.
After two spectacular seasons the comedy hip-hop-folk crossover duo of the Rhymenoceros and Hiphopopotamus have officially announced via HBO.com that they will not be returning for a third season.
The show had an amazing cast consisting primarily of outstanding comedians such as Rhys Darby, Arj Barker, Eugene Mirman, and Kristen Schaal, in addition to many comedians staring in guest roles.

The show chronicled the fictional tale of the duo’s effort to make it in America as a rock band, The Flight Of The Conchords. Throughout each episode the duo would weave in their own songs in which they perform very enthusiastically; quite the opposite of how they normally act, very low-key, monotone, and reserved.
Between their accents, hilarious songs, incompetent manager, and awkward situational comedy the show provided laugh after laugh throughout its short life span.
In addition to the series the duo has released numerous albums — some containing the songs from the show — hosted a BBC radio show, as well as toured world wide performing their songs and their stand up comedy act.
The guys have been nominated for and won numerous awards for their BBC radio show, stand up routine, comedy albums, and television show. Thanks for two great seasons guys.
